-
What medium are your original artworks created in?
Nicola Bouwer is a Johannesburg-based contemporary artist working primarily in figurative collage.
Her original collage artworks are handmade using carefully sourced found imagery from vintage books and magazines. Each piece is layered and constructed by hand, exploring memory, gesture, light and emotional narrative through paper.
She also works in oil painting. Detailed information about materials and process is provided alongside each individual artwork listing.
-
Are your artworks available as fine art prints?
Yes. Selected contemporary collage artworks are available as limited edition fine art prints (edition of five).
Each print is professionally produced on museum grade archival cotton paper to preserve the quiet textures, layered histories and subtle tonal nuances of the original handmade collage. Editions are strictly limited to maintain rarity, collectability and artistic integrity.
Custom sizes can be arranged, and professional framing is available on request.

Are the artworks framed?
Original oil paintings and collage artworks are sold unframed.
Paintings are shipped unframed to ensure safer and more cost-effective delivery.
Collage artworks require framing under glass with a mount board to ensure long-term protection and archival care. Selling works unframed allows collectors to select framing that best suits their space and aesthetic.
Framing can be arranged upon request.
