Talking Hands
This series of hand cut analogue collages examines gesture, expression, and the physical language of the body through layered form and considered composition. Each work explores how movement communicates meaning and how the hand can operate as both subject and sign.
Drawing on found imagery and precisely assembled elements, the compositions develop through controlled shifts in rhythm, placement, and spatial balance. Forms are sliced and reconfigured into deliberate visual arrangements where gesture functions as communication. Stillness and implied motion create a clear tension between presence and absence.
Cutting and reassembling becomes a method of visual inquiry, testing relationships between fragment, form, and space. These works investigate how meaning can be carried through gesture, revealing coherence that emerges when movement is reduced to its essential structure.
